Jan. 27, 2007 Peace March around the Capitol....Best shots...Rally...March...Lobby Day

	Jan 27: United for Peace and Justice organized hundreds of thousands of people, calling for an end to the war in Iraq. The crowd, who represented 48 states encircled the Capitol building to send a message to Congress to stop Bush's war.
	Welcome back Jane. Rev. Jesse Jackson hugged Jane Fonda who returned to the Peace movement after 34 years. Actor couple Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins looked on.
	Congress people, celebrities, religious leaders, veterans and citizens marched up Capitol hill.

	Jan 29, Lobby Day brought 1500 people from 47 states to Capitol Hill. They visited 270 members of Congress to tell them to cut the funding for the war.

	New York's healthcare workers union, 1199 SEIU had a large contingent.
	Moriah Arnold, 12 years old, organized a petition drive against the war at her school in Harvard, MA.




	Congresswomen, Lynn Woolsey and Maxine Waters both Democrats of California have sponsored a bill to end the war, with United for Peace and Justice National Coordinator Leslie Cagan.
