On
Feb 15, 2003 The world said no to war in over 600 demonstrations
around the world. Many millions marched in the cities of Europe.
In New York City United for
Peace and Justice brought together hundreds of thousands of
people to a peace rally on First Avenue near the United Nations.
Police prevented thousands of people from reaching the main protest
rally. Prior to the Rally the city denied a permit to march. |
