August 29, 2006: The People's Hurricane Relief Fund and other groups organized a funeral march from the Lower Ninth Ward to the French Quarter and Congo Square.

A ceremony was held at the place where the levee broke and sent a 30 foot wall of water into the Lower Ninth Ward
