11, 2004: United for Peace and Justice and many of its member
groups demonstrated against the assault on Falluja to mark
Veterans Day. UFPJ members picketed outside the offices of
New York Senators Clinton and Schumer and attempted to deliver
letters but were prevented from entering the buildings by
the police. That group marched to Columbus Circle met another
which was holding a vigil sponsored by Veterans for Peace,
Military Families Speak Out, Code Pink and Iraq Veterans Agains
the War. |
