Bahrain’s Annual Fine Arts Exhibition Opens Friday | THE DAILY TRIBUNE

The 48th annual Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition will open on Friday at the National Theater of Bahrain. Held under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the exhibition is organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).

About 60 Bahraini and resident artists will participate in this year’s exhibition with more than 100 works of art reflecting different artistic schools and tendencies and including painting with different types of materials, video works, photographs and sculptures.

The winners of the three annual awards will be announced on Friday. The annual Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition is the largest and most important art exhibition in Bahrain. Over the years, it has attracted the most prominent figures in the Kingdom’s fine arts movement, including pioneers and young talents. The exhibition reflects the comprehensiveness of Bahrain’s fine arts which forms a cornerstone of the local cultural scene.
