Cherilyn Jane Lundwall, 75, died on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 14, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Kirk M. and Lillian G. Davis Lundwall. As a child, she moved with her family to Ogden, Utah, where she was raised. She attended public schools in Ogden City and graduated from Ogden High School in 1965. She attended Brigham Young University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1972 and a master’s degree in 1974 in speech therapy. . She was a life member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist at McKay-Dee Hospital, Utah Valley Hospital, Brigham Young University Communication Disorders Clinic, and the Weber County School District.

Central to Cherilyn’s life were her efforts to live the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a youth, Cherilyn diligently sought and received from the Lord a testimony and testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, which guided her throughout her mortal life. As an active life member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served a full-time mission in Colorado-New Mexico, and in many other Church callings, including young women president, Relief Society teacher, ward music chairperson, and musician. director, member missionary and patron of the temple.

Cherilyn enjoyed hiking, backpacking and river running in the desert canyons of the southwest. The Grand Canyon in Arizona was one of her favorite places on earth, and it was in this magnificent canyon that she enjoyed a whitewater excursion on the Colorado River, as well as two edge-to-edge hikes. and backpacking adventures. It was while preparing to experience these and many other adventures next in God’s natural creations on earth that she learned and gained many useful skills, life lessons and memories to enrich, develop and balance her life. . Cherilyn also enjoyed music and the fine arts, reading, poetry and spoken word, cooking and sewing, and she was interested in animals, including parrots and other hook-billed birds, and dogs.

Of great importance to Cherilyn were her relationships with people. She had many wonderful friends who helped her negotiate and overcome obstacles and challenges in her life. She especially enjoyed associating with these good friends and loved ones, as she sought to serve and comfort them.

The survivors are brother and sister, Neal (Mary) Lundwall, Ridgecrest, CA; and Noreen (George) Ward, Roy, UT; and several nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sullivan Hollow Ward, 976 33rd Street, Ogden Utah. Friends can visit family Fridays from 6-8 p.m. at the Ogden Mortuary in Lindquist, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
