The Armstrong Campus Intramural and Recreation Department (IRC) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the opening of the Armstrong Campus Disc Golf Course.

The course is immediately available to Armstrong students. With the opening of this course, Armstrong also introduced the new Disc Golf Club. Students interested in joining the club can do so through IMLeagues.

The event enjoyed a sunny afternoon and attracted good participation from students, faculty and staff. Participants took a guided tour of the course and received a variety of amenities and refreshments.

Members of the IRC, including Armstrong Principal Megan Feasel and Deputy Principal Sean Willett, gave the opening remarks before the ribbon cutting. Statements were also made by Vice President of Student Affairs Dr Shay Little and SGA President Alexis Belbin.

“This wonderful event not only brings us together to celebrate, but brings us together for an exciting opportunity for our University community. Something new, something different and something to embrace, ”Feasel said in his opening remarks.

Feasel also pointed out that this is only the second official disc golf course to open in the city of Savannah.
