The excitement is real.
Last month, beauty brand Glossier opened its first permanent store in Miami’s Design District. Located in the Palm Court above the Baccarat shop, Glossier’s iconic logo in a sans serif font is easy to spot. Here, the brand has created its own 305 vibe mixing eclectic and vintage details.
The store is laid out in an exhibit-like setup filled with Miami touches and Glossier’s beloved products. A clean aesthetic is conveyed by the light pink tables, rustic tiles on the walls, and the perfect combination of artificial lighting and daylight shining through the store’s large windows.
Glossier has their entire collection available for purchase at the store. Similar to the minimalist layout of its e-commerce site, the store is divided into sections with neatly arranged products. The skincare section is a round table wrapped in a green bench-like texture similar to what you might see inside a vintage ’68 Chevy rolling down Ocean Drive.
Customers are free to try the products, which range in price from $12 to $70; sinks are installed at the tables when needed to take advantage of them. And for those who want to avoid impulse purchases, Glossier also offers a section dedicated to takeout orders.
Next to a stucco dome, similar in shape to the brand’s fragrance, Glossier You Solid, is a comfy bench for boyfriends waiting for their girlfriends to finish shopping. (Shout out to @glossierboyfriends.)
With Instagram in mind, Glossier’s Miami boutique also features an “underwater room.” The gradient blue space is an ocean-themed room inspired by the days of boats that many of us are familiar with. There’s no real water here, though; just a full-length mirror for selfies with Glossier’s statement, “You Look Good,” affixed to the center.
This isn’t the first time Glossier has landed in the 305. The beauty brand made its first appearance in 2019 with an art deco-inspired pop-up in Wynwood. The direct-to-consumer startup has also opened permanent stores in London, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Despite the brand’s leap into brick-and-mortar retail, Glossier continues to dominate social media feeds. Whether it’s an Instagram post or someone unboxing Glossier in a TikTok video, the brand’s embellished and glossy packaging continues to create great content online.
If you’re looking for a polished look with a minimalist and playful color palette, don’t miss the new Miami living essentials, such as Glossier sunscreen and its dedicated Miami beach bag. With every purchase of a bag, the brand will donate $5 to Radical Partners, a local social impact accelerator that helps invest in leaders and build strong foundations in communities.
