Parul University announces the launch of the Center for Design, Fine and Performing Arts to ignite the flame of creativity for budding artists.
The center was inaugurated by actress Dia Mirza who also expressed her opinion on the vital role of art and creativity in shaping cultures and transforming societies.
To provide students with the best hands-on exposure to the field, the building has been outfitted with numerous labs, which include the Abstract Lab for design fundamentals and creative spaces such as tints, graffiti, and murals.
“This aesthetically designed world-class facility is a perfect blend of architecture and nature to provide an ecosystem for creative inspiration. The first steps in every design aspirant’s journey at the Institute of Design begin with these spaces, as they lay the groundwork for exploring their artistic expressions. This center is expected to provide aspiring artists at the University with state-of-the-art resources and facilities to deepen their knowledge and skills in multiple creative fields,” said Dr. Prabhas, Director of Design and Fine Arts at the Paris University.
In a published statement, the University said: “Design students will be able to exercise their creative senses through hands-on facilities such as clay, wood and metal workshops. While, for fashion enthusiasts, the establishment offers workshops such as “Brunnai”, a space dedicated to weaving fully equipped with looms. For adding color and brightening fabrics, “Chhaap” is another handy space for apparel printing. Additionally, facilities such as “Avran” for garment fixing and Sanchana, a sewing space, are fully equipped with more than 40 singer sewing machines.
The Parul University Design Building has also been equipped with facilities and spaces for product design innovators to combine creativity and technology. A temperature-controlled machine lab was also created to pursue this goal, equipped with 3D printers and CNC machines, among other cutting-edge innovative design technologies.
In order to facilitate the best learning experience in digital and electronic design fields such as film and television, animation and visual effects, among others, this newly developed center includes a recording and editing studio audio, a music studio, movie theaters, animation and visual effects studios, and high-tech film studios,” University added.
To complete the design learning experience, the institute also offers enriching libraries and resource centers, ensuring that students learn both theoretical and practical design elements.
With a capacity of over 80 students, the Institute of Design has computer labs where students can turn their creative imaginations into reality. Pursuing the pinnacle of creative innovation and expression continues to be one of the University’s primary endeavors. Through its institutes of design, fine arts and performance, it has managed to make these global milestones possible.
